INSIGHTS OPEN FLOOR -
Contact Technique class & Contact Improvisation Jam

UNFORTUNATELY, THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ONCE WE HAVE FURTHER INFORMATION AND GUIDELINES REGARDING COVID-19, WE WILL REASSESS, AND RELAUNCH INSIGHTS OPEN FLOOR WHEN IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.

Join us for our monthly contact classes where we will be working on trust, fly and falling techniques. We will also explore floor-work and partner work during the class as well as individual exploration. After the warmup section and contact technique class there will be a contact improvisation jam, where you can explore purely improvised movement; individually or with a partner.

These classes are designed to explore your improvised technique and will allow you to become confident to dance with others through contact. Wear comfortable loose clothing and bring socks.

Classes are led by Karen McArthur, a dance artist with over 10 years contact technique experience. Karen will take you through a series of different techniques and lifts throughout these classes.

Classes are every 2nd Saturday of the month, 10:00-12:00 £5 (£3.50 concessions)
